| Danieli billet conditioning line started up at Belgo Mineira, Brazil
In July 2006, a new Danieli Centro Maskin billet conditioning line started operation at Belgo Mineira, Joao Monlevade plant (MG).
The line is designed for the conditioning of quality steel billets at a max temperature of 300 °C and has a nominal capacity of 50,000 tpy.
The new plant, supplied on a complete turnkey basis, is based on one machine for billet grinding with provision for future installation of a second grinder.
New Danieli bar drawing line in operation at Gerdau San Josè dos Campos, Brazil
A new automatic bar-to-bar drawing line started operation in July 2006 at the Gerdau Açominas, SanJosè dos Campos plant.
The line, supplied by Danieli Centro Maskin and suitable for 3-strand bar drawing operation, is designed for processing round bars from 38.1 to 102-mm-dia, hexagons and squares of corresponding sections in lengths of up to 12 m for the automotive and special steel applications.
The line features a 120-t pull-power chain-driven pulling unit with all connected entry and exit auxiliary services such as automatic loading, sorting, deburring, straightening, cutting-to length and bundling.
